General:
This garden was initially located on 250 acres. It was primarily comprised of a farm with various outbuildings to house different farm animals including milk cows, Hereford and Angus bulls, horses, pigs, turkeys, chickens, sheep and goats. The barn and the house was designed by Everett Woods. The barn, overlooking a lake, included stalls and a large two story open area for farm equipment. According to the daughter of the owner, American singer Rufus Thomas played in the hay loft where parties were frequently held. A pool, fed by well water, was built into the side of a hill. During the summers it was drained and filled each week. Garden features included woodland walks, bermsn, ristas, lawns, bulb gardens and wooded paths.
Persons associated with the property include: Duke Moody (landscape architect, probably 1950s-70s); Tom Pellet (landscape architect, 1990s); Everett Woods (architect, 1930).

Scope and Contents:
18 digital images (2022).
General:
Point No Point is located in rural Mason, Tennessee. Established in 1833, the 110-acre property features a working farm, woodlands, and a large display of naturalized spring bulbs.

Entering the property, a drive leads through the open farmland to the homeplace. The fields are rotated seasonally with sunflowers and winter wheat. The house is surrounded by a hardwood grove providing protection from the harsh summer sun.

The front of the house faces a semicircle of woodlands that open into a field of native grasses. Mature azaleas were planted to accentuate the boxwoods that border the house. From the front porch, there is a view of large magnolias, dogwoods, red buds and oak trees. In early spring, ground is covered in a sea of naturalized jonquils, daffodils, and snowdrops. By summer, the view shifts to a flower bed of daylilies, tulips, zinnias, and other annuals.

The brick Colonial Revival style house was constructed in 1910.
