Place:
Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (France)
Date:
1946
General:
The image was in an envelope labeled "St. Jean de Pied a Port" (sic). The sign above the doorway reads, in Spanish,"Todo Por La Patria," meaning "Everything for the Motherland." This suggests that the photograph was possibly taken in Spain, the French-Spanish border being not far from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, and that the soldiers are Spanish.
