The Smithsonian's National Postal Musuem is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of US Postal History, American life and history. To date, the museum has collected more than 20,000 artifacts which includes 13,000 Postage stamps, 2,960 Covers & letters, 2,033 Cerfigied plate proofs, 370 Identifying artifacts, 200 Photographs, 130 Employee Gear, 100 Tax stamps, 40 Postal mmoney orders, and much more.
