Suma Qamaña celebrates the spirit of "Living Well" in this four day festival hosted by the Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, highlighting the indigenous cultures of Bolivia through dance and song. In this segment, Morenada Bolivia USA performs the Chutas. The dance originated in the city of Corocoro located an hours and a half away from the city of El Alto. Corocoro City is characterized by the product of copper since colonial times. The dance originated as an imitation of foreigners who at the time performed functions relating to the exploitation of coper. In a humorous fashion, Aymara indigenous people wear a mask that has blue eyes and clothing that is a comic representation of foreign costumes early in the twentieth century. Recorded in the Potomac Atrium of the National Museum of the American Indian on June 5, 2014.
