Video Title:
ISS Transit of the Sun
Description:
Look at the upper left edge of the Sun. Staff at the National Air and Space Museum's Public Observatory captured this transit of the International Space Station across the Sun on Wednesday, March 2 at 3:08 pm. At that time, the space shuttle Discovery was still docked with the ISS during its final visit to the space station. This video is looped three times, two at a slower than normal speed and the last slowed down even further. The Public Observatory, located at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC, gives visitors the opportunity to observe the Sun and planets through telescopes.
