Artist John Grade discusses his "Middle Fork" project, on view in the exhibition WONDER at the Renwick Gallery. Grade creates large-scale sculptures based on environmental elements and explores how natural objects change over time. His work in WONDER began as plaster cast of two trees, each about the same age as the Renwick building. Using the casts as molds, he re-created the trees with small pieces of cedar. Supported by the James Renwick Alliance.
