"Our martyr president" appears above the portrait of Garfield
Contains an accordion-folded strip of sepia-toned portraits of the Presidents in reverse chronological order, from Chester A. Arthur to George Washington, on twelve panels, ending with an illustration of an eagle perched on a shield with thirteen stars and stripes mounted on page [3] of the cover. There are two presidential portraits per panel, with the exception of Washington, who has his own separate panel. Beneath each portrait is a facsimile of the president's autograph
May have been produced in Germany, or by a German-American printer. Although there is no imprint, "Eigenthumsrecht" and "U&E" are printed at the bottom of the cover
Page [4] of the cover lists the Presidents from Washington to Arthur, with their birth dates, death dates, and dates of inauguration
