Summary:
Pycnogonida from three recent Smithsonian-Philippine cooperative shallow-water expeditions are described. They contain 30 described species, with 12 newly described and two left undescribed for lack of adult specimens. The new species described are Ammothella alcalai, A. rotundata, Eurycyde setosa, Tanystylum philippinensis, Anoplodactylus attenuatus, A. brevirostris, A. falciclavus, A. paradigitatus, Propallene curtipalpus, Nymphon diabolus, N. megacheles, and Rhynchothorax orientalis. Previous literature on Philippine pycnogonids is reviewed and the zoogeography of the species is discussed.
