"The Publication committee of the Grolier Club certifies that this copy of 'The etched work of the Whistler' is one of an edition of four hundred and two copies printed on old Stratford paper and two copies on Italian handmade paper and that all were printed during nineteen hundred and ten."
442 numbered plates and an appendix of 4 plates, many being in different states, are described. A few of them are not reproduced. The portfolios contain over 1000 reproductions of etchings mounted on 495 leaves, and two facsimile title-pages.
