Each sample is inserted in a cardstock sleeve with hexagon-shaped windows. The product number is printed next to each sample.
The portfolio is undated; suggested date of publication is based on the date that Interglas-Textil GmbH registered Interglas for a U.S. federal trademark (27 January 1984).

CHMRB copy 39088020204673 also includes 4 loose samples, possibly also originating from Interglas-Textil GmbH: a 9 x 5 x 1.5 cm silver honeycomb metal piece; a brown colored strip of a solidified foam-like material with transparent cover measuring 30 cm long, 2.5 cm wide, and .5 cm thick; and 2 woven white flattened textile tubes, one measuring 22 cm long and 3 cm wide, and the other measuring 7.5 cm long and 2 cm wide. The portfolio and loose samples are housed together in an archival paperboard box (2 piece), measuring 33 x 25 x 4 cm.
CHMRB copy was acquired by the National Air and Space Museum as a previously unaccessioned gift from Fred Weick, a noted aeronautics engineer and aircraft designer, and subsequently transferred to the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum Library.
