The Life in the Ancient Seas exhibit closed in November 2013.
Summary:
The Life in the Ancient Seas exhibit in the National Museum of Natural History held nearly one thousand fossil fish specimens. A display of fish fossils embedded in sand is in the foreground while models of sharks, rays, and other fishes hang from the ceiling. In the background a sign reads "Act Three: The Cenozoic Era". To the left there is a display case running the length of a wall with an undersea mural and a skeleton, while to the right there is a display case with a various shells, including a nautilus.
