Summary:
Interior of the George Gustav Heye Center of the National Museum of the American Indian in the Alexander Hamilton Customs House in New York City prior to its renovation. This view shows a rotunda with a fountain at the center and murals on the ceiling. The George Gustav Heye Center of the National Museum of the American Indian opened October 30, 1994. The 1907 Customs House is a Beaux Arts building designed by architect Cass Gilbert.
