Summary:
Portrait of William Bingham standing in an interior, his body turned to the left, his gaze directed toward the viewer, his left hand resting atop a table draped with red damask, and his right arm extended with a scroll held in his right hand. He wears a black suit, a ruffled white shirt, and a powdered wig. Atop the table behind him are piles of books, a quill pen and inkwell, and an unfurled scroll. In the background there is a bit of red and green drapery, and to the left is a view down a paneled hallway framed with columns.
