Summary:
A female stands wearing clinging, full-length drapery and sandals. She holds both arms over her head, a palm leaf in her proper right hand, and an olive branch in her proper left hand. To her proper right rear stands a doughboy at attention, holding a rifle at his proper right side, butt end on the ground, his proper right hand gripping the barrel. He wears a helmet and a jacket with an ammunition belt. To her proper left rear, a sailor wearing a Navy uniform and hat, stands at attention. He holds his rifle in front of him, his proper right hand holding the gunstock, his proper left hand gripping the middle of the barrel. The three figures stand on top of a hexagonal base adorned with bronze inscription plaques listing the names of men and women from Greenville who died in various wars. A bench encircles the hexagonal base just below the inscription plaques.
