Summary:
Full-length figure of Charles Marion Russell sits in front of an easel and paints on a canvas. He wears a broad-rimmed hat and large coat and has a moustache. He paints with a brush held in his proper right hand and holds a palette in his proper left hand. A sculpted replica of Russell's "Waiting for a Chinook" rests against the leg of the easel. A small mouse and mousetrap, possibly a reference to "asides" or little stories in Russell's work, are placed at the base of the easel. The sculpture is installed on a square base. One of the plaques includes a cow head.
