Summary:
An African-American family consisting of a father, mother and child. The father stands in the back; the mother is seated in a chair just in front of him; and a little boy kneels at his mother's feet. The father's proper right hand rests on the mother's proper right shoulder. The mother reaches up with her proper right hand to grasp the fathers hand on her shoulder. The little boy rests his arms on his mother's legs and looks up at her. The father and the mother stare straight ahead. The sculpture rests on a square brick base.
