Summary:
A full-length female figure representing Astronomy is seated on throne. A cherub holds a celestial globe before her and she leans forward with her compasses to take measurements. Another cherub looks through a telescope. At left are two female figures representing Physics and Mathematics. They each holds tools of their science. In the far left are more figures, representing plane and solid geometry. At right are Botany and Zoology. Zoology is a nude figure and she reaches her hand to a peacock which is perched on the balustrade. In the corner are a shell and minerals.
