Summary:
This accession consists of records created and maintained by Robert Schneider, Technical Director, 2000-2015, documenting the technical design of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival and other major programs and festivals on the National Mall. The majority of the material consists of architectural drawings, site plans, specifications, and images of construction, staff, and volunteers. Materials also include scopes of work, schedules, budgets, correspondence, safety training materials, contract and purchasing documentation, and related materials. Materials are in electronic format. Many materials were created by support staff and submitted to Schneider at the end of the festival or were received from his predecessors.
