Summary:
This office space, most likely located at 1101 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, in Washington, D.C., belonged to the Hayden Survey, an expedition that went throughout western Wyoming and Colorado that later led to the formation of the U.S. Geological Surveys of the Territories within the Department of the Interior. Pictured are William Nicholson, Henry Gannett, and John Merle Coulter working at desks in their office.
