Besides the pictures and works already described in the section of award of premiums, there remain many other highly valuable foreign productions on exhibition, and likewise various meritorious specimens of native talent, worthy of special notice. Foremost among these are the contributions of Dr. V.J. Fourgeaud, of Sacramento, amounting to seven in number, as follows: Fifth--Another painting of the Flemish school, representing a rustic table, with all the requisites for a peasant's meal, is, in this instance, very truthfully executed.
