Description:
The five stamps issued on March 26, 1971, commemorating "The Family" have values of 25-lire, 40-lire, 55-lire, 90-lire, and 160-lire. The stamps depict four paintings of the Madonna and Child and one of the Holy Family by Francescuccio Ghissi, Sassetta, C. Crivelli, Carlo Marratta, and Gisberto Ceracchini.
The Austrian State Printing Office in Vienna printed the stamps in polychrome rotogravure.
