Description:
This American Credo issue stamp was issued to re-emphasize the ideals upon which America was founded and to honor those great Americans who wrote or uttered the credos. This stamp features a quotation from the Sixteenth President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. The quotation is from a letter written in 1859 to Mr. Henry L. Pierce from Abraham Lincoln. The stamp also features a small image of Lady Freedom and Lincoln’s signature.
