Notes:
Brown plastic cast browridge of KNM OG-45,500. This browridge is part of a braincase discovered by a Smithsonian team at Olorgesailie, a site known since 1942 for abundant stone tools. The discovery, made 62 years after research began there, is the first early human fossil known from Olorgesailie. It is about 900,000 years old. This lot includes two models of the browridge and 6 casts of small skull bone fragments. The browridge cast measures around 9 cm x 8 cm x 3 cm in size. The smallest bone fragment cast measures around 2 cm x 1.7 cm x 0.3 cm in size. Find out more by visiting humanorigins.si.edu
