Notes:
A small pair of leather sandals, possibly for a child, likely made in West Africa. The sandals have a simple thong design and are primarily made of dark brown leather. A bright red yarn pom-pom decorates the top of each sandal, just over a coiled leather fastening knot. The heel of each shoe has several cuts in the leather into which blue and yellow ribbon has been inserted in parallel diamond-shaped patterns. The soles appear to be glued together then stitched, with the edge painted blue. The thong is attached to the sole with five small nails.
