This object is part of the Education and Outreach collection, some of which are in the Q?rius science education center and available to see.
Notes:
Two sections of red Adinkra cloth stamped with geometric shapes in black pigment. Adinkra refers to the stamped symbols on the cloth that are traditionally are used to communicate specific messages or ideas. In Ghana, Adinkra cloth was originally only worn at significant social events by royalty and spiritual leaders but is now a common part of fashion. These two segments of cloth are relatively small and have the same panels of patterns, though in different arrangements.
