Notes:
A twined-weave water bottle basket made in Arizona by the Western Apache. The vessel has a squared body, narrow neck, and a slightly flaring lip. It has been coated in pine pitch to assist with waterproofing and remnants of the coating remain on the interior and exterior of the vessel. Normally this type of basket would have bent twig handles at the shoulder but they are missing from this example.
