Notes:
White enamelware bowl with lid featuring screen printed designs featuring Nigerian military ruler Murtala Mohammed, who was in power from 1975 until his assassination in 1976. The body of the bowl has two curved handles on either side and just below the blue lip on the front and back of the bowl is a screen printed portrait of Mohammed in a green and red uniform flanked by two identical floral motifs surrounding a central human face in elaborate headdress. The same image is printed on the lid, which is topped with a white knob.
