Description:
This object is part of the Education and Outreach collection, some of which are in the Q?rius science education center and available to see.
Notes:
A chunk of adobe or working clay. It measures 5.5 cm long, 4.5 cm wide and 3 cm tall. It is a light tan color and has been tempered with tuff (a type of rock). Adobe is a building material made from clay, rock, sand, water, and other organic materials. The material is shaped into bricks and then sun-dried before use in construction.
