Protologue (1962) cites holotype at MICH but this specimen has been variously annotated as holotype and isotype of Ateleia revoluta Mohlenbrock. This sheet is probably the holotype; in addition to Mohlenbrock's (1960) annotation of this specimen as holotype, the duplicate at MICH was not annotated by him as a type of any kind, nor even with this species name.
