Protologue cites holotype at RBG (and isotype at US), but illustrates (p. 311) with photo of USNH 2855941, annotated as "holotype" by L.B. Smith. A second (bulky) specimen, USNH 2855942, is also annotated "holotype" by L.B. Smith. A third US sheet, USNH 2830258, was annotated as "type" by Read (1989), later altered to "iso"type (L.B. Smith script?) and also "sheet 2" (also L.B. Smith script) but with no correspondingly annotated "sheet 1".
