SQUARE FRAME, POINTED AT EACH END AND CURVED UP IN FRONT. NETTING OF FINE LINE CUT FROM PREPARED DEERSKINS, CALLED BABICHE; THAT UNDER FOOT IS COARSE AND STRONG AND WRAPPED AROUND FRAMES, THE REST IS FINER AND CLOSER AND IS WOVE THROUGH FRAME. L. 36 INCHES, GREATEST BREADTH, 8 3/4:. #861: SQUARE FRAME, POINTED AT EACH END AND CURVED UP IN FRONT. Provenience note: Ledger book identifies as from the "Indians of Ft. Good Hope", but also says "snow shoes of Slave Indians of Mackenzie River."
