FROM CARD: "INVENTORIED 1974." FROM CARD: "HEAD-DRESS.---BUCKSKIN SKULLCAP, WITH RED AND BLACK CLOTH CHIN STRAP ORNAMENTED WITH ROW OF PEARL BUTTONS. THE PEAK IS BLUE, ORNAMENTED WITH A CIRCLE OF PEARL BUTTONS AND STRINGS OF YELLOW BEADS. THE CROWN IS ORNAMENTED WITH PAINTED BLUE AND RED CARICATURES. THE RIM IS A BAND OF RED FLANNEL AND PAINTED BLUE BUCKSKIN, ZIGZAG PATTERN, ORNAMENTED WITH BRASS BUTTONS AND EDGED WITH YELLOW BEAD-WORK. WORN BY APACHE INDIAN DOCTOR OR MEDICINE-MAN.
