From card: "Oval ball of quartz with a wooden handle covered with rawhide. Decorated with a feather tassel, said to have been used on the Custer battlefield [i.e. Battle of Little Bighorn]"
Possibly ("said to be") used at the Battle of Little Bighorn in 1876 in Montana, but the Sioux came from South Dakota, and this was later collected by Dr. Carter in South Dakota.
