Description:
This medalette honors Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, a Russian author considered one of Russia’s greatest poets and the founder of modern Russian literature. Pushkin was born in Moscow in 1799 into Russian nobility during the reign of Paul I, who ruled Russia from 1796-1801.
