Description:
Henry Daniel Justi was born in Germany in 1834 and apprenticed with a surgical instrument maker before moving to the United States in 1850. He obtained his first U.S. patent and opening his own shop in Philadelphia in 1860. The firm became H. D. Justi & Son in 1892. This is an example of the Justi Simplex No. 1 inhaler for nitrous oxide.
