These two engravings were produced for the Mechanics article in volume 14 of the <i>Encyclopaedia Londinensis</i>, a multi-volume work published between 1810 and 1829. In one, the texts read “MECHANICS” and “XVIII” AND “1 TO 9, Weight and Pressure of Fluids. 10. Hydrostatic Balance. 11 to 14. Other Instruments for measuring specific gravities” and “Engraved for the Encyclopaedia Londinensis, 1816” and “J. Pass, sculp.”
