Description (Brief):
This handheld disposable device tests urine for seven different classes of drugs: PCP, benzodiazepines (BZO), cocaine (COC), amphetamines (AMP), marijuana (THC), opiates (OPI), and barbiturates (BAR). The test takes about ten minutes. The presence of color in any drug detection zone indicates the presence of the drug at or above the threshold concentrations. The Triage Drugs of Abuse Panel, introduced to the US market in February 1992, was the first product of the start-up Biosite Diagnostics (incorporated 1988).
