Description:
The Half Tent and Pole were used during World War I. The tent is made from natural colored canvas fabric that is in four sections. Two large rectangles are sewn together and sewn to a triangular shaped piece of fabric created from two pieces. One edge of the rectangle and triangle sections have a line of metal grommets. The other side of the rectangle has rope toggles/tie-downs. The tip of the triangle has a metal disk with the markings, [U.S. [numbers worn away] 52 [two crossed rifles]. The tip has a rope toggle. The fabric is stained and ripped. A pole made from three wooden columns are connected by two metal hinges. Two of the pole sections have a metal collar. One end of the pole has a metal point.
