Colored halftone print of a balloon aloft over the World's Columbian Exposition, Chicago, 1893. The scene is meant to be a view from the roof of the Manufactures Building at sunset. Only the basket of the balloon is visible. A woman and a man are in the basket, with an American flag tied to the ropes. The woman is waving at someone below. A river, park, and large building are below, with Chicago in the background. A ferris wheel is on the horizon.
