Summary:
This A4-H glove was designed and constructed by ILC Industries for Hamilton Standard in 1964. NASA assigned the two companies to work on the Apollo spacesuit, but the joint venture failed and the partnership reorganized. The glove was made of a rubber-neoprene compound with a silver leather over glove. The over glove was attached to provide protection for the rubber and prevent the expansion of the glove while under pressure.
NASA transferred this glove along with the spacesuit to the Museum after the end of the Apollo Program.
