Folio from a dispersed copy of a Haft Awrang (Seven Thrones) by Jami, extracted from the fifth poem: Yusuf u Zulaykha; Persian in black nasta'liq script; recto: Ten Couplets from the Poem, two columns, ten lines; verso: blank; surface slightly worn.
Border: The text is set in gold rulings followed by a gold-sprinkled inner frame mounted on a paperboard with landscape and animal motifs.
