The field notes and drawings document William Holmes' field work at the Mayan ruins at Copan [Copán], Honduras, during 1916. Many of the notes are field drawings with extensive annotations relating to sculptures, specific structures, as well as sections of the settlement, and includes oblique and aerial views. There are also sketches of surrounding terrain. Many of the notes relate to the East Court.
