Abstract:
This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, 1964, on Northern Grid Survey 12. The Northern Grid Survey was conducted of a square section of the Pacific Ocean near the Hawaiian Islands. Materials include fix data sheets, bird observation data sheets, weather and barometric data, and other data. Fix data sheets include entries for date, time, sunset time, position sunset, time of fix, type of fix, longitude, and latitude. Bird observations data sheets include entries for time, species, #, dir., hgt., and remarks. Additional data sheets recorded time, lat., long., pres wea, vis, slp, dry b, wet b, dew pt, hum%, tl sky, opa sky, waves, sea temp, wind s, wind d, course, speed.
