Abstract:
This item consists of a folder of data collected at sea by Pacific Ocean Biological Survey Program staff, 1964, on Southern Island Cruise 4 in the Pacific Ocean. Materials include at sea daily observations summary, fix data, and other information. Handwritten at sea observations include time, number (possibly quantity), wind direction (?), and remarks. Some observations also include date, and weather. Remarks include bird species, and other observations. Additional data sheets recorded time, lat., long., pres wea, vis, slp, dry b, wet b, dew pt, hum%, tl sky, opa sky, waves, sea temp, wind s, wind d, course, speed. Fix data sheets include entries for date, time, sunset time, position sunset, time of fix, type of fix, longitude, and latitude.
