Abstract:
An inserted table of contents for specific locations is included at the beginning of this book. This field book contains a specimen list of botanical specimens collected from 21 April 1934 to 3 September 1938 in various islands in the Pacific including Kiribati (including Fanning Island [Tabuaeran]), Mangareva Islands (Gambier Islands), Austral Islands (Tubuai Islands), Tahiti, Tuamotu Islands, Pitcairn Islands (including Henderson (Elizabeth) Island), Society Islands, Hawaiian Islands, and Christmas Island [Kiritimati in Kiribati], and California, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Iowa, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. Specimen list includes scientific name, date, locality, and collector number. Narrative notes on pages 198 and 199 from Cape Charles, VA. Two labels for University of Pennsylvania specimens dated June 1938 are inserted between the back cover and last page. 199 pages.
