Details include date, weather, time of day, daily activities, terrain and vegetation, local customs, extensive descriptions of food, agriculture (rice), communities (temples), and people of areas traveled. Specimens collecting includes birds and mammals. Locations include the vicinity of Singapore; Hong Kong; Shanghai, China; and Calcutta [Kolkata], India.
