Panama 1971 notes from 1-3 November, numbers 2146-2157 are included in the back of the notebook. Calderon records taxonomic names of specimens, soil samples, temperatures, when a photo is taken, and several abbreviations such as "FAA" (often related to information about leaves, inflorescence, seedlings) and "3:1" (often related to inflorescence). References to “sphl.”, which is accompanied by male/female sex signs, are included throughout the notebook, possibly referring to Staphylinidae insects. Collector numbers 2241-2267 are included in this volume. Localities include, but are not limited to Rio Jequiriçá, Jaguaquara, and Itaju do Colônia.
