Description:
Studies in graphite for various advertising campaigns, including American Airlines, New York Subways Advertising Company, and the Broadway musical "Anything Goes". Upper left: house suspended by hot air balloon; text above: AMERICAN AIRL. Upper right: peanut with text: “peanuts to”; center: elephant in profile, superimposed with three feathers and text: ANYTHING GOES / ANYTHING GOES, above block text: AIR FREIGHT. Lower left: goblet with sugar cube and fork balanced on rim (likely absinthe glass).
