Description:
Men converse on a barge, presented in the left foreground in sharp perspective. Just beyond, fishing boats line the river with their masts standing up against the sky. Through the masts, London Bridge is visible. At left, the buildings that make up the Billingsgate Market are shown with people bustling up stairs from the river. The clock tower is visible at upper left.
