Description:
This scene is an example of how Hiroshige used artistic freedom. Along the lush landscape and visitors viewing the scenery are blooming cherry and azalea trees that do not bloom around the same time. Along with the artificial topography, Hiroshige added a tree in the shape of a sailboat. Even with these peculiar details and elongated tree trunks in the foreground, people from Edo were able to recognize this landscaped garden immediately.
